1. WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS. You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed. Just join in with everyone else. We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing. Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young. Help yourself!


3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church. All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays)

4.  Young Church is meeting on Sunday 19th Nov at 10am, led by Sarah Howles. They will be thinking about what it means to be a Christian, with activities to support that.

5.  Confirmations 2017
Bishop Steven Croft of Oxford will be the celebrant and preacher on Sunday 19th November at the 10 am service, when there will be Confirmation of candidates from the parish and from Headington School.  Refreshments will be available after the service, kindly provided by Headington School. 

6.  “Little Fishes” – a pre-school group for children 0-4 years and parents / carers - every Thursday in school term from 9.30 am - 12:00. There is no charge. More information from Natacha Huggett (tel : 01865 769023).

7.  Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on 27th November. We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.

8.  Bible Study
continues to meets next on Tuesday 28th November at Fr Tim and Sarah's house at 8pm. It is not too late to join and you would be most welcome. Do speak to Fr Tim if you are interested.

9.  The funeral of Isobel Spence R.I.P. will be held in the church on Wed 22nd November at 2.30pm.

10.  St Andrew's Day - Thursday 30th November :
Festival Eucharist at 7.30 pm. The preacher will be Fr Will Lamb, Vicar of the University Church. Refreshments will available after the service.

11.  St Andrew's Boat - the boat will be out in church on 26th November, 3rd and 10th December.  Please place unwrapped gifts, for all ages, including toiletries, in the boat on one of those Sundays. The gifts will be distributed by the Salvation Army for Christmas.

12.  St Andrew's School Christmas Craft Fair - Sunday 3rd December, 11.00 am - 2.30 pm

13.  Parish Christmas Cards are now available at a cost of £5 per pack of 10.

14. Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. The Food Bank welcomes tinned vegetables but not peas, tomatoes or baked beans.
