Just join in with everyone else. We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing. Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young. Help yourself!

3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church. All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays)

4.  Young Church is meeting on Sunday 25th February at 10am.

5.  LENT STUDY GROUP : Wednesdays in Lent at 7.30pm
Starting on 21st February in the church room
“Meeting Jesus in John’s Gospel”
A six-week journey into deeper relationship with God through praying the words of John the Evangelist.
Should you wish, we have a journal to accompany the Lenten program which offers a daily verse from John’s gospel and encourages you to respond.

There are a few other ways for you to engage with John’s Gospel and the Lenten program at St Andrew’s in the weeks ahead:
 Join us on Wednesday nights during Lent from 7.30pm in the Parish Room. All are welcome, whether you can only come for one week in Lent or for all six Wednesdays.
 Check out the video that introduces Meeting Jesus in John’s Gospel ( It’s created by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church USA. When you view it, you’ll want to replace “Episcopal Church” with “Church of England”, remembering that the Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion in the United States
 Subscribe to receive a short daily video in which a monastic brother from the Society of St John the Evangelist (the Cowley Fathers) shares comments on the daily Gospel verse and on our relationship with Jesus. You can sign up for the daily video and prayer email at the bottom of this page:
 Each Sunday we will include with the leaflet a section called Faith at Home with questions, activities, and prayers for the week ahead. This is particularly directed to younger members of our community with some discussion questions for children and the adults who care for them.
There will be a few other ways for you to engage with John’s Gospel and the Lenten programme in the weeks ahead - more in next week’s pew sheet.

6. Lent Appeal 2018
For 30 years The Porch has provided day-long support for those in our city who are homeless or vulnerably housed and wish to move away from street life and addiction. The problem in Oxford is escalating and the Porch has out-grown its current premises. In order to expand this local charity aims to raise £1,500,000.
St Andrew’s has pledged the support of our Lent Appeal. Lent boxes are available for those who would like to give in this way. You may also put a donation in an envelope on the Sunday collection plate (you will find envelopes in church). Either way please complete the Gift Aid form if you are eligible.

7. Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on 5th March. We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.

8. Lenten Lunch
9th March at 12.30pm
Vegetarian & Fish Lenten Lunch in St Andrew’s church room.
